The description of the problem: Premenstrual Syndrome or PMS is a common problem of many women before menstruation begins within one week or a fortnight. The symptoms are acne, backache, cramps, fatigue, headaches, tender breasts and changes in emotions and water retention.

Essential oils used for treatment:
Clary Sage, Geranium, Lavender.

The treatment:
Use a few drops of essential oil in the combination with a carrier oil for the massage of the abdomen. Have a warm bath with 10 drops of essential oil and soak for fifteen minutes. Essential oils can also be used as an inhalation.

Safety Issues: 
Consult a doctor, if thoughts of suicide or other violent behavior occur. Premenstrual syndrome is more serious that it seems to be.
